Recreation Depot, South Jersey’s largest Billiard retailer, started out in 1989 as a Pool Hall in Maple Shade New Jersey. Tony DeSimone and Don Fries opened The Q Room as a hobby to augment their thriving delivery business. As it turned out, it became more than a hobby, it was a passion. The Pool Hall lead to a pushcart full of Billiard accessories in the Echelon Mall for the 1990 Christmas season. Some gentle pushing from the mall manager and an all around great guy, Don Duffy, landed us in our first full retail showroom.
Well, 17 years later, Donald has since left to pursue a Florida lifestyle, we now have three stores and a large variety of products. From a small display of a few Pool Tables and a Ping Pong Table, we now offer Bars, Spas, a bunch of accessories, and our newest venture, Home Theater. My customers have helped us grow to three locations with lots of referrals and support. We believe the customer is still the most important part of any business. We try to treat customers the way we want to be treated when we shop. |
